Seven months after my 1st visit to Dr. Seaman, I texted him with a description of a different and considerable pain in my mouth. He called within 3 minutes, remembered precisely the tooth of mine he extracted 7 months prior, and offered to see me in two days. He saw the problem within 5 minutes, picked up some tools, and after some quick adjustments, sent me home feeling 100% better. I was simply stunned at his insight, dedication, and compassion.
I have been here on many visits, and the service, friendliness, and quality of work is outstanding.
I haven't been to the dentist in years, and I definitely have no fear of going anymore. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking quality, affordable care. They do a great job breaking down the work you need and working with your insurance. If you don't have insurance, they offer payment plans as well.
Dr. Dent cares very much about his special needs patients. I could not be more grateful to find a dentist well-prepared and patient to work with my child. Dr. Dent is excellent with his dental care and generous with his time. I don't know any other dentist in Houston who will offer such a highly respectful service to our special children. I took my daughter there for her 6 month check up last week and was very disappointed. My daughter had been complaining of pain and the dentist did the cleaning and exam before taking x-rays which was odd. She told me she would be back to let me know the results of the x-rays but never came back to let us know. We sat there for about 15-20 minutes before another girl who we had never seen came to tell us that we were done. I told her that we were waiting on the x-ray results from the doctor & she said everything was good & she was wondering why we were still waiting there. Basically, we were forgotten about??!!!!. So, she walked us to the front to make a follow up appointment and give my daughter a toy but forgot about the toy I'm assuming because she never got that either or the "goodie" bag with a toothbrush she usually receives at the end of the visit. I know those things aren't crucial but it makes all the difference when taking a nervous child to the dentist, especially since they did away with their pediatric side which provided a nice kid friendly environment. The message I received on our last visit to Sugar Land Modern Dentistry was that they don't want to see children. It's a shame because my daughter loved going there. We will be finding a new dentist. I will give 3 stars just because the office was clean and the assistant was friendly but this place does need to get organized!
Finally, I recently had my 4 wisdom teeth removed by their oral surgeon, and I was shocked how easy and smooth it went. I felt zero pain. Went to sleep before the treatment, woke up about an hour later and I thought they hadn't started working yet! I felt zero pain, and they did a great job breaking down how to stay pain free throughout the recovery by staying on top of your medicine every 6-8 hours.
I have been to Sugar Land Modern Dentistry for two procedures and have been supremely pleased with both visits. My first visit was for pain which seemed to arrive from a wisdom tooth. The oral surgeon, Dr. Seaman, spent considerable time evaluating the situation and listening to my questions and concerns. I recall nothing of the actual extraction procedure, and the recovery required only a few Tylenol. Moreover, he followed up with a call that evening to see how i was doing.

I had to have my gums professionally cleaned using a laser to get rid of some gum plaque building, and they did a fantastic job making it as pain free as possible. They ensured I was comfortable and asked if I needed more anesthesia throughout the treatment.
I also had 4 fillings that same week (2 separate visits) and they were pretty close to painless. They used their new CAP machine to put some high quality fillings in that look great and feel great too.
Its ok service for the kids, but, for adults they keep adding unnecessary things to charge more, after one visit they tried to rip me off by telling me that I need Deep Cleaning, the hygienist itself said my teeth are very clean but I need deep cleaning while I never had any sever pain, I went for regular 6 months check up, they just wanted my money. I went to another dental office to check, they said I just need regular cleaning and I did for less. plus, they keep changing orthodontist which is not ok.
