We purchased a VERY expensive home with a realtor from the Cathy Stubbs team. We had been looking for a home with a very specific floor plan, to work from home. The realtor showed us so homes, but prior to signing on with her, we had seen a floor plan from a builder that we were pretty much set on. When nothing that suited us came available, we basically gave her the commission, when we went to the builder that we were considering before hiring the realtor. When a very deceptive sales person with the builder, mislead us about the property that we had already put our earnest money down on, she was absolutely no help whatsoever, with getting the builder to do right by us. In fact, she was paid at the sign of contract, and left us to fend for ourselves. We ended up writing letters all the way to the top of the company to get them to listen to the unethical issues we were having with the sales person. Our realtor did nothing to assist us. She also didn't even make the effort to show up at closing, when we closed a year later. To top it all of, she said she was getting us a gift ( as most realtors do) and she never sent one. Given she made $60K for her team off the purchase of a house she didn't even have to work for, a gift would have been the minimum effort required for proper etiquette. We have received many cards in the mail from them for future business, as we have another house to sell. Needless to say, we are using a different realtor and team. Never again. I don't recommend ever using this team, especially if you are looking at new construction.
We have had 4 wonderful experiences with the Cathy Stubbs team, buying and selling houses. The whole process was made easy by them, from the listing, to the showings, and the closings. They were there to hold my hand, and keep me informed of what was going on, every step of the way. They have an excellent understanding of values in the real estate market, and listened to what I needed. They even suggested another financing option that saved me thousands. If/when I need a realtor in the future, they will be only team I call!
