I've been at this church since 2006. Back then I was a 17 year old interested in Christianity. This is the community that led me to faith in Christ and also led me to fall in love with the "church" (a community of believers that love another like Christ has loved us). More than a decade later, I'm happy to say that it still is an honor to call "Fc3" my church home.

Absolutely blessed by this church/my church family! I couldn't ask for a more Kingdom minded community!

I came to this church two years ago in search of something new. I had gone to other churches in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area but I felt as though the pastors would just rehash the same 20 or so sermons throughout the year. After years of going to church, I got little depth out of most sermons and was simply told the same mantras and basic life style choices that every Christian should make. I was bored and did not feel connected to the community, and so I quit going. Once I started going to Sweetwater Christian Church, that all changed. The pastor (Mike Skinner) is a professor of theology at Houston Baptist University, and he uses his academic prowess to create challenging and informative sermons. I have never been so connected with the Word of God on such an intellectual and spiritual level as I have when attending SCC. Skinner is not afraid to take a stand on contentious issues and to challenge his listeners to change their entire way of living to match that of Jesus'. He backs up his views with Scriptures and in-depth historical and linguistic studies of the meaning of the Scriptures. He will not only help you get to know and to understand the Scriptures better than any other pastor I have seen, but he will also guide you in how to apply your new understanding to live a life that resembles that of Jesus'.

We love this church! The first thing that gets ya is the fantastic praise music! It always helps me reconnect and clears my head and softens my heart so I'm ready to worship. Add to that the outstanding biblical based teachings and the friendly people. We always come away with a new understanding, thought or perspective. The church is so good about being the hands of God too so there are always ways to give back to the community if your interested. They are very welcoming to visitors but don't put pressure on you like some churches. Come check it out!

A lovely church, great community and a place that we've made home since we arrived in Sugar Land in 2016.
