You're paying for the company's real estate when you eat here. Overly pricey for what you get. They did not have shiner, bud light, or Alaskan amber for beer options. By the time I got my beer, I was done with my meal. My plate had actually already been taken. The server thought my food was never delivered! That slow of service on a Monday night, with few people in there, has me wondering how bad it would be on a busy night. That being said, the chicken buffalo flatbread pizza still tasted real good and the beer I ordered was enjoyed while we enjoyed people watching in the square. Cool spot with potential but with those prices they need to iron out the kinks with their service. I appreciated the comped drink based on the wait as well.
My wife and I came in around 3 PM. We sat at the bar for a good 2 minutes before the bartender even said hello or acknowledged us. This is despite the fact that we sat down directly in front of her. The whole process just seemed slow, from getting our order taken to getting refills and our check. She only had 8 bar guest total. She seemed to be preoccupied with getting here mixes and stuff made so she could leave at shift change.
It wasn't a terrible experience, just very meh hence the 3 stars.
I have had great time at the Bar Louie in Irving. This one however just seems a little loose. First let me add that I have spent 16 years in the restaurant industry so I am VERY understanding and forgiving.
We love this place! Their berry mojitos are amazing. We love our waiter Brian S! He is absolutely the best!
Very disappointed with the response I have received from Bar Louie. This was my first choice to have my company holiday party at and never received response back the first time I sent in an event request. I then went by on my lunch break to inquire about booking a party and I was told the manager had changed and to send a second event request email and that I would receive a response within a day. I did what I was told and received a very generic response. I have sent 3 follow up emails to the manager to confirm the event with ZERO response. I guess I will have to find a plan B for my company party and it is unfortunate that the management clearly does not care about potential customers. I can only imagine the type of service we would have received when clearly responding to an email is a difficult task.
I wasn’t checked a single time by my waiter. Had t walk to the bar to get silverware and hot sauce. My burger didn’t came wit lettuce and tomato and my friend did came with it. I was charged a $1 substitution to remove the bacon from the burger, what I’m allergic to it. I never heard of paying to get something removed from a burger. I felt disrespected over there and since is n birthday weekend it was a terrible and sad experience . The people however made the place fun. The other waiter totally ignore me when I request help, lie it wasn’t his table so it don’t matter!!! Very upset. You get better service at mc Donald’s. !
