This is the best place to take your pet if you need a specialist or have an emergency. The skills of the staff are outstanding and their knowledge is unsurpassed. The veterinarian spent over an hour with me explaining my dog's tumor. The vet and staff have been most responsive to my follow up calls and questions. I feel very secure at this facility and that my dog is getting the best care available.
This clinic is awesome! I am a "human" registered nurse, so I'm picky when it comes to the professionalism with which my pets are treated. This place is second to none when it come to emergency after-hours care. They are compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Our elderly Border Collie (he will be 18 years old in February) became ill over the weekend and SLVS lovingly cared for him. He required a hospital stay and the staff continuously called a provided updates on his care and prognosis. After Murphy came home, it was discovered that we actually had credit due to us. When I called to have my card credited, the person on the phone was professional, kind, and expedited the credit. I cannot say enough about this wonderful animal hospital!
Excellent care! The referral process took longer than I would have liked, given that my cat was deathly ill. But, once we had an appointment, everyone was wonderful! Very professional and caring! Costly, but where else can you get such high level procedures done? All in all, I am very pleased.

Dr. Sherwood and all the staff were absolutely AMAZING! They truly care about your pet and without a doubt it shows! Dr. Sherwood took the time (a lot of time) to explain what he wanted to do, why and what to expect. I drove from Rockport, Texas just to see Dr. Sherwood and would do it again in a heartbeat!!!! Every facility should treat your pet the way they do!
