It is his way, or the highway. Patients are not allowed to question or influence their own care. He and the staff make no apologies for this. It is how the practice is designed.
I can only say wonderful things about Dr. Osborne and his staff at Origins Healthcare! Dr. Osborne has a unique blend of intelligence and compassion that is rare to find, and these same qualities are evident in the people that work for him. All his experience made me feel secure in the changes that I needed to make, and even the money that I spent. Being as sick as I have been made me realize how priceless health is.
He will not hesitate to order $5,000 of testing (or more) in your first visit, regardless of your financial circumstances.
It is very, very expensive, and everything is marked up.
Here are the things I wish I had known before making an appointment there:
If you have the money and are willing to do what he says without question, then he may be able to help you. I know he has helped a lot of people, but I had some very serious adverse reactions to his protocols that could have been avoided entirely if he had listened to me in the first place.
Top Gun Dr. I have sent many people I care about to Dr. Osborne because his treatment and info changed my life. He focuses on the cause of the problem and not the symptoms. His bedside manner may be uncomfortable for some as he is very direct. He makes sure you understand the gravity of the situation and the measures needed to fix it. But I did not find it uncomfortable, I appreciated the he didn't dance around the issues but instead gave it to me straight.
-Tests (which are NOT proprietary to Origins, but are presented that way) are marked up $200-$300+.
-If you do order your own tests, you are charged $150 “interpretation fee” per test.
-Supplements are very expensive. They are high quality, and some are his own brand, but some are not. The fish oil is $22 if you order it directly from Progressive Labs (the manufacturer). He charges $53.50.
Dr. Osborne is persistent, and I have been healing and making great progress in his care. When I had questions that the staff couldn't answer, they always get back to me in a reasonable time and are very patient with me. I highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about turning their health around.
-You are charged for test kits that the lab sends them for free.
He seems to think all adverse reactions are part of a “healing crisis” and should be ignored.
I did not have a good experience with Dr. Peter Osborne at Origins Healthcare. I know that Dr. Osborne helps a lot of people, but his approach is not for me.
I have learned so much from Dr. Osborne. One of my favorite things about him that I truly respect him for is that he never pushes his products. He tells you the facts and then you need to sort it out and decide if it will work for you. I also follow a few other functional doctors, but their approach is totally different. They are saying sale is on--buy while still in stock--and if you sign up for automatic monthly shipping--you will save so much. I use Dr Osborne's products and am very pleased with them. Have taken them for a good long while now.Thank you Dr Osborne for being a man of integrity. It is a lost art today.
