My favorite place in Sugar Land. Great food. Spicy. Good service. Recommended. This place is so good it is amazing. Aling's is better than Mala (which is saying a lot). Aling's opened a few years ago and I went there from time-to-time. It was pretty empty (back then). I was fearful that it would close for lack of customers. Now it is packed.
Not an authentic Chinese restaurant but a fusion of Chinese and Indian food. Though I must say the food quality is good. It is on a spicier side. You have to mention Halal if you want it. The atmosphere is quite dim.
We went on a Thursday for lunch, and the place was pretty filled up. Although there are not many items on the lunch menu, and about half is spicy, I managed to find something amazing. Chicken with black bean sided with fried rice and corn soup was the best lunch I had in a while. The chicken comes with bell pepper. Fried rice is only lightly fried, so it still retains that natural rice flavor. And corn soup has that congee consistency. A very good meal indeed.
I think it is the best place to have Indian Chinese... Authentic Indian Chinese taste... I particularly liked chili chicken, Manchurian... I think only place in Houston area to serve chopseuy... Great service.. a bit pricey though...
Very good Indo Chinese food. I am personally not a fan of Indo Chinese food nut this place was good. Food was not too oily and tasted just as in India. Definitely recommended.
