Don't buy any appliances from this place! They lie to you! Assoc: 0495 told us "you are going to get black stainless delivered to your address" it was supposed to on sale! We went to other stores and we liked this one black stainless. So we purchased it, the day of the delivery I was in shock! I called JCPenney for an answer and after explained the whole mess they did, they said "we are going to cancel the order..." and hang up, called back again and a lady tried to get me to a mayor appliance rep. He answered and hang up. They are liars! So we lost other good refrigerators we saw for a good price because we trusted JCPenney will be good! We thought we should give them out business. When something isn't convenient for them they just don't care about customers. When you order something you expect it to be what you wanted, not what was best for them. I wouldn't even give them 1 star! It's just too much after the whole mess they caused.
Absolutely do not order something for in store pickup here. The pickup counter may not be staffed and there may or may not be a sign saying the counter opens later than the store. They really can't spare the $10 an hour to have it staffed? You'll have to wander around for 15 minutes to find an employee who will tell you to pick up your order at the appliances. Once you get to the appliances, you'll have to wait in line for other orders to be searched for. The manager told me they throw everything into big buckets that have to be dug through to find something. They can apparently make room for appliances no one wants to buy, but they can't have an organized or logical storeroom. I don't ask for much, working minimum wage at a department store must be terrible, but management is completely inept.
I was going to use a coupon that required I use my J.C. Penny card. I left it in another purse. When I put in my ss# it was said it could find my account. Now I have had a J. C. Penny card for decades. First it was implied I don't know my own#( by a employee and the manager Edith). Then it was implied I was a delinquent. I asked several times could someone please call. I was told they were not open, I find that strange since the store was still open. No one ever called including the manager Edith. The manager was super rude.
The minimum is a 1 star- or I would have given 0.
I called customer care: and spoke to a rep who was a clueless useless person.
Really disappointed with The Customer service aswell as delivery of JCPenny. Do not order anything from them online (i dont know about instore), unless you are okay with recieving it more than a month (still haven’t received mine yet) later.
Even though the store was packed, the employees give the most amazing customer service!!
