This is a lovely park with lots of room for dogs to play. We'll sometimes bring our baby just to hang out and watch the pups run because it's such a nice area.
Wide swales that stay wet and thick with mud days and days after a rain. Dog pond is booby trapped: instead of a normal shallow slope out to the middle, this one has a nice invisible knee-deep drop off a few feet inside the water line. I had to wade out to rescue both of my dogs, who are used to less surprising water experiences.
Wonderful place for your dog to run around if they get along with other dogs. no dogs were on leashes. I saw about three different cops taking watch there within the two hours that I was there. there is a pond for them to play in and that's about it but if you go outside the fence and across the street there is a hiking trail (Justin p.) that is where I spend most of my time.
I used to come to this park almost every day when I lived in an apartment in sugarland. This park is arguably one of the nicest and best parks in the greater Houston area. The big open spaces makes it easy for your dog or dogs to get their proper exercise in and to enjoy themselves.
Overall a very nice large dog park. Would be 5 stars if not for the terrible pool design. Who thought it would be a good idea to put an invisible drop off three feet into the water. Watched so many dogs fall in while getting a drink.
