Nice quiet trail to hike. You can still hear road noise from the highway but it's still a decent getaway to ignor the city for a bit.
Nice mountain bike trails. They are kept up by local bikers.
I stumbled upon this trail just by chance after googling "hiking near me". I am surprised it is not advertised more. It was such great Sunday afternoon fun for my family and I. We really enjoyed our hike. There were several bikers we saw and one other hiker. We will definitely be going back! Come prepared with mosquito spray and watch the sand if you go down by the river (you sink in it quickly and it doesn't look muddy but is very much so). Small trail but very nice and easy to walk or bike.
Startled a doe, smelled a skunk. It's nature, wjat do you expect? Very peaceful and thw teails are excellent for walking/running/biking. It is a very beautiful taste of the Brazos.
Nice trail. Small singletrack, great for beginners moving toward intermediate.
