Store is laid out well and clean. Much more kept up compared to academy. The only negative is the lines tend to be long on wknds with limited cashiers.
Non of the staff knew what I was talking about when it came to snow gear or even when it came to looking for a certain item on their advertisement paper. The selections of clothes was rather limited in some brands while other brands had more. I wish they had more stuff for all brands and not biased on a certain brand. Academy is just down the road and has a better selection of gear. Golf equipment and selection on the other hand is why I gave the second star for DSG. Honestly though, they left me with a "eh" feeling of their store.
Definitely better than Academy, had full stock of everything with variety. The prices are affordable and good quality. The store itself is clean and organized, customer service is great. This is now my only sporting goods store, good job Dick’s.
Too many of the clothes that I checked out had actual sizes different than the sizes labeled on the hangers. Store looks very good, but since I didn't find what I was seeking, I walked out with nothing, not even the golf and weight gloves I was thinking about, nor the pool shoes that looked like they could work for my upcoming trip.
On the plus side, one of the associates showed me where to go, and five minutes later came over to make sure I was finding things.
So service is very good, but I still came away with nothing. Get the major things right, and the minor stuff might be sold, too.
